Some locks have "paracentric keyway". See picture:
The keyhole is shaped like a "Z" at the place where the pins are. In this case the lock has been installed upside down, which is normal for doorknob locks. Door knob locks can be installed right way up or upside down depending on whether it is a right-handed door (door which opens to the right) or left-handed doors (door which opens to the left). Beginners are strongly advised to avoid picking a paracentric keyway lock, because it is difficult to move a pick inside such a keyhole. Most YALE and some POSSE locks use paracentric keyway.
But with practice u can still defeat this lock. As a newbie, look for something easier. Once u gain enough experience, then come back and try this lock.
