This kind of tool is your ultimate lock picking/hacking friend. Just imagine 2 heads in 1 picking tool! The diamond head rules! Used it to open my drawer lock that has 2 rows of pins. Top & Bottom. The catch is that you must know your way around the lock. The key has 2 rows of teeth. Top & Bottom. The technique i used to open is raking+diamond head. I could also use Hook but i prefer diamond. Rake top and then bottom and top again. Tension wrench will rotate and the lock will open! As myself a novice, i been trying the whole day figuring out how to open it. As Paul's advised us, lockpicking takes time & patience. Lots of it! If you damage your tools while picking then you're doing it totally wrong! ;D

Congrats NEBTD, well done. BTW, where do you put your tension wrench when u rake, do u place it in the center of the keyhole? A picture would be nice, heh heh. Also, i think u r picking a double-wafer lock right? If u need to host a picture for free try : tinypic.comthen insert the pic as follows using the "Insert Image" icon above - See "Add tags", heh hheh photobucket.comis even better. You can create albums and edit them and direct upload not only from your PC but directly from other websites as well!

Thanks! Sadly, no digital camera yet. Yeah you heard me i dont have one yet. Anyways, i put the tension wrench the opposite side where the pins are located. If the pins are at the bottom then the tension wrench will be at the top. For my case, the pins are located at the top so i placed the tension wrench at the bottom. Rake using the diamond head. Stupid lock sometimes open in a few seconds but sometimes takes me a few mins. Not more than 5 mins. ;D Maybe wrong technique while raking?

NEBTD, A double sided wafer can can be picked 2 ways: insert the tension wrench in centre of keyhole so that there is space above an below for inserting pick. U could use either hook or diamond. But hook may be too big. Insert pick above tension wrench, rake upper wafers a few times. Then remove pick, while maintaining tension on tension, insert pick in bottom, rake bottom wafers a few times. The lock should open by now.
Another way: insert the tension wrench in any location, up or bottom of keyhole also will do. Then, insert the pick opposite the tension wrench and rake. In other words u rake only one row of wafers. For some camlocks, this is enough to open it.
